Beautiful early Dutch Gouda art pottery bowl attributed to Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH) of Gouda, Holland.The bowl is decorated in the desirable Massa pattern, featuring bold hand-painted geometric and stylized floral decoration in cobalt blue, orange, turquoise/light blue and olive green.The underside is hand marked “MASSA – Gouda – Holland”, together with an early PZH factory symbol and additional handwritten production/form markings.Massa is one of the early decorative patterns associated with PZH Gouda pottery. Based upon the markings and pattern, this example dates approximately to 6 inches diameter × 2 inches highA very attractive small cabinet-size example of early 20th-century Dutch Gouda art pottery and a nice addition to a collection of Gouda, PZH, Dutch Art Nouveau or European art pottery.Please examine all photographs carefully, including the photograph of the underside markings, as they are an important part of the description.Good antique condition for its age.
