Beautiful matching pair of hand-decorated Dutch art pottery candlesticks produced by PZH (Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland), Gouda, Holland, and dated 1929. These candlesticks feature richly colored decoration in cobalt blue, cream, brown, mustard, and burgundy tones with stylized floral and geometric Art Deco design elements characteristic of Gouda pottery from the late 1920s.
Both candlesticks retain their original factory marks on the underside, including PZH/Plazuid Holland markings, decor designation CEE, and production numbers. The hand-painted decoration remains vibrant, and the glossy glaze displays beautifully.
These antique candlestick holders are an excellent example of early 20th-century Dutch art pottery and would make a wonderful addition to any collection of Gouda pottery, Art Deco ceramics, or European decorative arts.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed. Colors remain bright and well preserved. A beautifully preserved matching pair approaching 100 years of age.
