Antique figural metal Elephant incense burner made in the 1920\'s by Vantines,an early 20th century importer of Oriental goods and novelties.
This Elephant is cast in metal with a rich dark bronze finish and excellent detail. The top of the howdah is hollow and is missing the interior tray to hold the incense. The bottom is marked \"Vantines\" with a serial number.
It stands 4.25\" tall by 6\" wide by 2.5\" deep, and weighs 1.25 lbs.
