1. An iron tsuba with an openwork design of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove.
2. On the front, it is inscribed “Mogarashi Nyūdō Sōten sei（藻柄子入道宗典製）”, and on the back, “Gōshū Hikone jū（江刕彦根住）”.

3. The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove were a group of literati, philosophers, and poets active in China during the Wei–Jin period (around the 3rd century).
   They are known for distancing themselves from political corruption and worldly constraints, enjoying intellectual and artistic pursuits freely in nature.

4. The name “Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove” comes from the story that they gathered in a bamboo grove to drink, compose poetry, and discuss philosophy. The bamboo grove symbolizes nature and also represents liberation from the worldly affairs.
