1. 1964 Article: An original clipping explicitlytitled $15,000 VALUE PUT ON HARDING LOVE LETTERS. It covers a historic court battle and valuation involving a cache of over 100 secret love letters written by President Warren G. Harding to Carrie Phillips.
2. Circa 1971 Article: a larger, full-page retrospective feature detailing the history, scandal and legacy of Nan Britton\'s relationship with President Harding. It features a historical photograph of Nan and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann (noted as being 44 years old at the time). Note: The 1st part of the article was on another page and is not included.

Condition Report:

• Cover/Spine: Shows visible vintage shelf wear, scuffing, and minor fading consistent with age. Corners are slightly bumped.

• Interior Pages: The text block is complete. The inner front cover features a vintage stamped library bookplate with the initials \"ER\". There is visible dark staining/adhesive bleed-through on the left side of the front endpaper (visible in photos), but the right side containing Nan Britton\'s bold ink signature remains completely clear, legible, and uncompromised. There is also dark staining on pages 188-189 (see pictures). Please note also that the \"White House in Winter\" photo plate on page 212 features visible chipping and paper loss along its bottom blank margin (see photos). The test and image itself remain unaffected. Very slight tear on bottom of page 209.

• Binding: The binding is structurally compromised. The interior spine/text block has split completely in half down the center, exposing the inside of the cloth spine (see photos). While all pages remain firmly attached to their respective halves of the text block and the book can still be handled carefully, the binding is cracked and fragile.
