This exclusive edition was strictly limited to only 1,000 copies offered for sale. This is the desirable low-numbered Copy No. 138, bearing Charles A. Lindbergh’s original autograph on the limitation page.
Adding remarkable period character is a handwritten family presentation inscription dated December 1927—the same historic year as Lindbergh’s New York-to-Paris flight and the publication of “WE.” The inscription appears to read:
“A gift—
to Paul and Marjorie Longbridge
from their father
Charles Longbridge
Dec. 1927.”
This contemporary inscription gives the volume a wonderful time-capsule quality: it was presented as a treasured gift while “Lucky Lindy” was still the most celebrated aviator in the world.

CONDITION:
Good antique condition for a nearly century-old volume. The spine is attached. The original binding displays age-related rubbing, soiling, edge wear, bumped and worn corners, and wear at the spine ends. The gilt decoration remains attractive and clearly visible. Interior pages show expected age toning and occasional spotting or marks. Lindbergh’s autograph, limitation statement, and the December 1927 inscription remain bold and highly legible.
