Rare 1870's Crystal-Ivorytype portrait of Maryland Legislator:

Image done using the Crystal-Ivorytype process. The results are meant to imitate a photo on ivory. Details of the image are amazing. Patents on the back of the frame show dates 1876 and 1877. I opened the frame and found a piece of paper saying the man was Mr. Britt, a Maryland Legislator. The image is 2 x 3 1/8 inches and in excellent condition. The frame is 4 3/4 x 6 inches and in fair condition.
