Panasonic Ambience RX-5150 Boom Box AM FM Radio Cassette Player Works For Sale

Hello friends here we have a one owner boom box in outstanding vintage condition. This belonged to my grandparents it has been in my grandfather‘s closet for the last 30 years at least untouched. This comes from a smoke and pet free climate controlled home. this unit was occasionally used mostly during the holidays for Christmas music never abused or misused. I just tested the cassette player and it is fully functioning fast-forward rewind play stop eject pause everything works. It does not eat tapes. I did not test the record feature. It tune in stations perfectly and the sound is still surprisingly great all of the different sound functions seem to operate properly. The only issue I could find is when adjusting the volume you hear some very slight static while you’re turning the knob but then it clears right up. This is because the pots get oxidized and they need to be cleaned. Both channels are fully functioning. I gave it a quick wipe down, but I did not take my time to thoroughly detail the unit. The metal side piece is on the handle have a tiny bit of oxidation on them, but absolutely nothing that I would consider to be unsightly. In my opinion, you would be hard-pressed to find one in better condition than this. I am not sure if the tuner bar originally had a light on it. I don’t think it did, but there is no light that illuminate the tuner bar. Please understand exactly what you are purchasing. This is a functioning vintage electronic device. This unit has has not been been serviced or cleaned. It is always recommended for electronics of this age to be properly serviced by electronics technician. Due to the age of this item, I am classifying it as as is condition for parts or repair only. This is because there are unscrupulous buyers on that liked to purchase vintage electronics and then attempt to get partial refunds. I do not play that game. Let me be very clear. Any technician can go through a unit this old and give you a long grocery list of items that need to be cleaned or serviced.
