Vintage Panasonic RX-5085 AM/FM Stereo Cassette Boombox – Tested & Working – Made in Japan
Original early-1980s Panasonic RX-5085 portable stereo boombox featuring Panasonic’s Ambience sound system, 2-way 4-speaker design and cassette recorder.
TESTED & WORKING. Both the AM/FM radio and cassette player have been tested and are functioning.
Features include AM/FM/FM Stereo radio, cassette player/recorder, Dolby NR, Ambience/Stereo/Mono sound settings, separate tone/balance/volume controls, tape counter, Metal/Normal tape selector, soft-eject cassette mechanism and large carrying handle.

This model dates to approximately 1982–83.
COSMETIC CONDITION: Shows considerable vintage wear from age and use. The clear tuner display/lens is cracked in multiple places. There are also scratches, scuffs, discoloration, surface wear and cracks/chips to portions of the upper housing. Please examine all photos carefully for exact condition.
Despite the cosmetic issues, the unit presents nicely as an authentic early-’80s Panasonic boombox and both the radio and cassette player are currently operational.
