A striking sculptural brooch composed of twelve square silver “tiles” arranged in an offset, staggered grid, each connected by short bar links topped with small silver ball finials. The overall silhouette forms a stepped pyramid/diamond shape, a hallmark of the bold geometric abstraction that defined 1960s Norwegian modernist silver. The tiles have a softly indented, satin-brushed surface catching warm gold tones in the patina. The brooch is fitted with a straight pin-and-catch closure on the reverse. It measures approximately 2 x 1.75 inches (5 x 4.5 cm) and is in very good, vintage condition, with natural tarnish/patina consistent with age.
