This is a rare large format original chromolithographic poster distributed by the International Tailoring Company to tailor shops and retail clothing stores during the early years of the 20th century. The retailers featured these large posters in their shops and display windows to appeal to affluent men who could afford made-to-measure clothing. International Tailoring Company was one of the largest clothing manufacturers specializing in made-to-measure clothing for men.
This poster measures 39 x 15 inches. There are small chips and tears mainly along the edges, and a narrow strip along part of the lower edge has come off. The images themselves are largely free of imperfections. (See close-ups.) The back of the poster has been tape reinforced. The original metal hook for hanging is still present. Early 20th century menswear chromolithographs used for advertising are rare.
