This is a very very old historical book, titled HISTORIAN’S HISTORY OF THE WORLD VOL XVI, copyrighted in 1904 (Scandinavia) & 1907 (Switzerland). It goes very in depth. I could not show the table of contents which itself is many pages long, since only allows me to post up to 24 pictures. But if you are a serious buyer, I can send more photos.
The Book is hardbound, leather & cloth covered and is sturdy except where the binding glue has released from the spine (see photos). There are pencil marks on some of the blank pages (children’s drawings and letter practice plus a list of family names written by an adult and some scribblings on one edge of the pages. There is also a small chunk off the front edge of the book as shown in the photos. The cover page, by Tiffany & Company, is very ornate and guilded. Also the page edges at the top are guilded. It is a large, heavy book at roughly 4 lbs and 10.5”x 7” x 2.5”.
