Bushing Installation & Removal Tool for Hendrickson – Replaces Part Numbers: S21307, E9575, and Automann TRB5912-T
This tool kit enables easy removal and installation of Hendrickson Intraax Tri-Functional bushings without removing the suspension from the trailer. It is designed to service most bushings from Hendrickson, Hendrickson Turner, Watson Chalin, and Automann.
Bushing Removal Steps
Mark the orientation of the bushing on both the beam tube and compression tube to ensure proper reinstallation alignment.
During removal, spring pins do not need to be aligned with the bushing holes.
Tighten the retaining nuts to eliminate any slack. If the bushing becomes seized, thread the hammer adapter onto the tool. Connect the hydraulic system and initiate the removal process.
After every 2-inch stroke, retighten the retaining nuts to take up any newly formed slack. (Most bushings require 3–4 adjustments to complete removal.)
Bushing Installation Steps
Lubricate the bushing thoroughly, then insert it into the compression cylinder.
Place the plunger on top of the bushing, aligning the mark on the bushing with the corresponding mark on the plunger. Ensure the 4 alignment pins matching your bushing type are fully seated into the bushing.
Tighten the retaining nuts to eliminate slack. If the bushing becomes seized, thread the hammer adapter onto the tool. Verify that the plunger is aligned with the pre-marked line on the beam tube and that the alignment pins remain engaged with the bushing. Connect the hydraulic system and start the installation process.
After every 2-inch stroke, retighten the retaining nuts to take up any slack. (Most bushings require 3–4 adjustments to complete installation.)
