A very fine Colnago Super
I believe mid 70’s53cm seat tube 54cm top. If you pick up I can discount $140 (cost for packing it up at my LBC)Frame is not only straight, there are no dents. It appears to have been repainted. There are some minor scratches in the paint, but the good news is that reveals it’s a chromed frame.
Everything is Campy except the rear rim and front wheel are Mavic and the front derailleur is a lower line Campy. The seatpost is American Classic, black, some scratches.
Delta Brakes tuned for maximum grab.
8 speed Ergo shifters. I stopped at 8 when they changed the chains for 9. However the 8 speed cassettes are rare and expensive, and the Campy factory wheels of that era weren’t that great. The answer? I got the measurements and did the arithmetic and ordered custom spacers to use 10 speed hub and cogs but only 8 of them. Not only for availability, but for versatility. Stock 8 speed stops at 26t. I’m including a 29t cog and a derailleur hanger extension. And you can go to 32 maybe 34, I like that alpine gearing with a double chain ring.
There is a scratch on the exposed area of the handlebar, so I’m throwing in a Cinelli bar same size 44 c to c. What’s really hip is the stem, Cinelli chromolly made with Columbus tubing, chrome plated. If you strip the frame to its chrome this matching stem is quite the look. 120mm. Rarer than Delta brakes.
Each component is in excellent condition. Really nice headset. Bottom brackets are awesome, last forever, and I still feel this vintage of Record cranks are the overall best cranks. Some wear on the rings, pictured.
Rear tire is Tannus airless and it’s a 23c 90 psi equivalent. And you get a new KMC chain. I left it long in the event you install the 29t. I hear it’s the best chain because chains is all they make.
These bikes don’t grow on trees, priced to sell my cycling brothers and sisters.
