Technical Description
The wing was not born as a purely aesthetic element, but as an aerodynamic component designed from the RSV4’s actual geometry.
The shape was developed considering the bike's behaviour under different dynamic conditions: acceleration, braking and cornering, including roll and yaw variations. This allows you to evaluate the component in conditions closer to actual use, not just with the bike straight on the straight.
Profiles used come from families NACA, i.e. technical wing profiles documented and historically used in the aviation field.
The choice of profiles and attachment angles was made to achieve an effective but not extreme solution. The goal is to generate load progressively and stably, reducing the risk of stalemate under the intended conditions of use.
This choice also takes into account the fact that each bike can work in slightly different conditions: preload, height, trim, rider’s weight, saddle position, and overall configuration can change the actual angle at which the flow hits the wing.”
For this reason the geometry has not been pushed to too aggressive angles, but oriented towards more reliable and tolerant behavior than normal bike trim variations.
Geometry is therefore the result of precise design choices: verified downforce, integration with the hull, drag containment, and reliability of profile behavior.
Frame and fastening
The kit is designed to be stiff and stable once mounted on the bike.
Load isn’t entrusted to a single point or a simple protruding surface: the wing works together with the side supports and fasteners under the muzzle, creating a stronger, more integrated mechanical connection with the hull.
Fastening is done via:
- 2 high quality well nuts, replacing the plastic rivets under the muzzle
- 2 screws included for attachment to well nuts
- 2 longer side screws, supplied in the kit, to replace the originals in the channeled area of the hull
The component comes with neoprene already applied on wing-hair contact surfaces, to improve support and protect the bike’s surface.
Material
The component is made using additive technology in technical polymer loaded carbon fiber, with satin finish.
This choice allows for a stiff, lightweight, and functional component while maintaining lower costs than true carbon production.
Compared to traditional carbon, this solution also has a practical advantage: in the event of a fall or impact, the replacement cost is lower and the damage to the component is less economically penalizing.
The design was however geared towards containing weight and maintaining good stiffness, without significantly compromising the aerodynamic function of the component.

The kit is designed for clean, quick mounting with no permanent changes to the hull.
