This beautiful footed compote is a Frederick Carder Aurene design from Steuben, showcasing the luminous iridescent blue and brown hues characteristic of Aurene art glass.

• Base diameter: condition. There are no chips, hairline cracks or breaks, or mineral deposits. The beautiful iridescent blue and brown finish displays exceptionally well, with rich, luminous hues throughout.

  For complete accuracy, at the top of the stem where it connects to the bowl there are two brown iridescent spot that have faded. Please see pics. This is minor and does not detract from the overall beauty or presentation of this exceptional piece.

  The base retains a nice polished pontil.
