Up for sale/sale is a beautiful, authentic piece of Southern ceramic history. This 1936 hand-thrown art pottery cabinet vase features Walter Stephen's iconic mottled turquoise and cream exterior glaze. The interior features a striking, glossy cream lining that pools into a vibrant, deep rose crackle glaze at the bottom.

The base features the highly desirable, raised "potter at the wheel" studio mark with the production year "36" stamped directly below the figure.

**Condition Note (Please Read & View Photos Carefully):**

This piece is being sold AS-IS as a historic study or display piece due to structural damage. There is a distinct vertical hairline crack running down from the upper rim into the body (approx. 1.5 inches long). This crack goes completely through the ceramic wall and is visible on both the exterior and interior of the vase. Aside from this crack, the glaze remains vibrant, and there are no large chips, chunks missing, or flea bites on the rim or base.

This remains a stunning, budget-friendly display piece for any collector of North Carolina art pottery or Arts & Crafts ceramics.
