1860 Peru Constitutional Reform Medal NGC MS62 Description & Comments
This 1860 Peru silver Constitutional Reform Medal is certified NGC MS 62 and attributed on the holder as Fonrobert-9123. This is a Peruvian Republic medal, not a denomination-bearing coin, issued for the reform of the Constitution of Peru of 1856 in 1860.
The obverse presents an open Constitution book within a strong sunburst, surrounded by the inscription for the Constitution of Peru of 1856 reformed in 1860. The reverse carries the Lima proclamation inscription dated 25 de Novbre de 1860 within palm and laurel branches, giving the medal strong historical presence and excellent appeal for collectors of Peruvian Republic exonumia, constitutional medals, and Fonrobert-attributed Latin American material.
The medal shows attractive silver-gray luster with blue, amber, and russet toning across the fields, devices, and rims. The NGC holder gives the MS 62 grade, Fonrobert attribution, and certificate number, while the photos show the original certified item clearly from both sides.
We shot a couple sets with different lighting characteristics but no filtering or doctoring - all natural photos! We did our best to carefully provide the most accurate photos as possible. As sellers, we want to be sure there is no mystery with the item you are buying!!!
