1838 Canal Dover OH stampless folded letter to Shanesville. Manuscript postmark; 6 1/4 rate (the so-called \"pickayune\" rate), which corresponds to the spanish colonial half-real coin. (the real rate was 6 cents, but more spanish colonial coins circulated in the US than US silver coinage). Seldom seen incorrect raid, especially on an unpaid rate.
