Being the Muscipula Oxoniensis Translated into Burlesque Verse, printed and sold by John Morphew in London in 1709.The work is an English burlesque translation of Edward Holdsworth’s Muscipula sive Cambro-muo-machia, a satirical Neo-Latin poem centered on the Welsh and the comic “mouse-trap” conceit from which the original takes its title.Holdsworth (1684–1746) was an English classical scholar and poet.
