Ethiopian Arabica Coffee
Ethiopia isthe birthplace of coffee. The first Arabica tree was found growing in the wild inthe forests of the south-western highlands of Kaffa and Buno districts. Thename, Coffee, is derived from the Kaffa region in Ethiopia. The cultivation bymen of the coffee tree dates back to the 9th century, although it isstill a mystery to who was responsible. The Ethiopian nomadic mountain men weresaid to be the first to feel the effects of coffee, but it was not consumed asa beverage, rather they chewed on the red cherries.
TodayEthiopia’s production is significant and the quality of these coffees are amongthe most unusual in the world, but without a doubt amongst the best coffees inthe world.
CupCharacteristics: This Arabica Ethiopia Sidamo, grownexclusively in the Sidamo Province, features a deep, spice and wine orchocolate-like taste with bursts of berries and fruit. It has medium aciditywith medium body but rich in flavor and balanced of our roasting is done per order and free grinding is available upon request. What this means is that hats orhairnets are required, no direct contact with the beans are allowed, and allsanitary standards exceed the Department of Health requirements.Additionally our scales are tested by the State on a regular basis to ensureaccurate weights & measures.
