>Offered here is an old and original1956 ORANGE BOWLfootball pennant featuring the University of Oklahoma Sooners!!Please see all fivephotos as they are an important part of my description.This full-sizedvintage football pennant for the Oklahoma Soonersmeasures approximately 29" x 11 1/2"andfeatures soft red felt withsilk-screened multi-colored graphics, a white strip of felt along the left edge and four soft felt tassels. The offered Orange Bowl Classic vintage pennant also features a very colorful graphic of Orange Bowl Stadium stands(Burdine Stadium) in Miami, Florida. The game was played between the Sooners and the Maryland Terrapins on Jan. 2, 1956. Both teams were 10-0, with #1 Oklahoma winning the game, 20-6. The key play of the game was the spectacular 82-yard fourth-quarter interception return for a touchdown by Carl Dodd which sealed the Sooner victory. Oklahoma was led by legendary coach Bud Wilkinson.
