c1930 Silver Leaf Necklace Antique Art Deco Erie Basin 13.5" Vintage For Sale

The necklace is made from a continuous series of individually cast silver leaves, each joined to the next with small connecting rings, creating wonderful movement and an almost garland-like effect around the neck. Each leaf has softly modeled veining and an irregular, handmade-looking surface.The silver has a deep dark oxidation/patina that beautifully emphasizes the details of the casting.

Erie Basin documented this exact necklace as a “c1930 Silver Leaf Necklace,” identifying the material as silver and noting its somewhat crude but charming casting. Their original listing also records the necklace at 13.5" long.

The necklace closes with a small spring-ring clasp. At approximately 13.5", it is quite short and will fit more like a choker or close-fitting necklace on many wearers. Erie Basin likewise noted that its short length would make it suitable for a smaller neck.

Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and oxidation/patina throughout. The silver has not been polished and retains its darkened finish. Leaf links and connecting rings are intact, and the spring-ring clasp is functional. Some irregularity/crudeness to the casting is original to the piece and was also noted in the original Erie Basin description.
