Its unique silica formula needs only half the amount of material compared to sand, yet its filtering capabilities approach that of diatomaceous earth (DE) while costing far less. It is able to last just as long as normal sand, yet requires less maintenance. After use, your sand filter will provide your pool with softer, more natural water with a jewel-like brilliance. 100% natural mineral replacement for silica sand. - Traps particles and ammonium ions that cause eye burning chloramines
- Reduces need for chemical shock treatments
- All uses a proprietary blend of natural minerals that will give you soft, jewel-like water quality previously available only with DE and Clean filter tank-Fill 1/3 of filter tank with water
- Install pea gravel or chat to top of the laterals
- Determine amount of Zeo-clear needed (note: 50 lbs of Zeo-Clear equals 100lbs of sand in volume, 25 lbs equals 50 lbs in volume)
- Fill tank with required amount of Zeo-Clear
- Return distributor or stand-pipe to proper position. Check air vent tube and exterior piping for proper operation
- Start filter in backwash mode to remove dust from media, backwash until water is clear. Turn off filter pump and allow media to settle.
- Repeat backwash and rinse cycles 2 or more lbs. of Zeo-Clear is equal to 100 lbs. of traditional sand in volume
