This is a magnificent ritual relic imported from the Ifa traditions of Nigeria. It is a powerful, large babalawo vest made with hundreds of beads created in the images of the warrior orishas along with elephants, fish and various designs held sacred in Yoruba cosmology. Cowrie shells provide additional ceremonial substance. The base is created with a sturdy muslin fabric and the whole vest measures over 26” in height by 21” in width. This piece is quite substantial so I estimate Standard Mail shipping will be $40.00. I will reimburse any overpayment if shipping turns out to be less.
