• Pre-1998 Vehicles Only: According to the official Yakima Y-Clip Fit Guide, Y-clips were never tested or approved for vehicles manufactured after 1998. Most vehicle fits for this generation of clips actually ended between 1994 and 1998.
• Tower Compatibility: Y-Clips only fit the older SST tower styles. They are physically incompatible with subsequent generations like Q-Towers (which use Q-Clips) or modern BaseLine Towers (which use BaseClips)
