This is a nearly full-length wing rib, showing a cross-section cut of the spar still attached, from the actual Blue Max Triplane. This aircraft was used in the Fox Films classic from 1966, \"The Blue Max\", as well as many other classic WWI films.
A numbered and signed Certificate of authenticity is also included
This comes with a reproduction Pour-le-Merite medal, and one reproduction Iron Cross, as well as an 8 X10 print from one of the Movie handouts, showing the aircraft and actors in situ. There is also a print of the Blue Max Triplane in It\'s Losenge paint scheme, as well as a print of Von Richtofen himself.
The proceeds of this sale go towards the preservation of this fine aircraft. We have the original in our shop, undergoing the slow process of restoration, on a budget. Your help is greatly appreciated.Our web domain will be reclaimed, and a new site applied to it, showing the progress.
