Single sheet, folded 4 times to make 8 panels. Signed and inscribed in black ink on the back panel by Brown to Richard Diebenkorn and his wife Phyllis, and hand addressed to their Berkeley home on the front panel. Postmarked January 8, 1958.
Full size when open is 5 x 19 inches. Includes 2 black and white images, an introduction by Oakland Museum curator Paul Mills and a checklist of the 30 paintings.
In fair to good condition, light foxing throughout; crease to the first panel.
An obituary of Brown says that his first one-man show was at Landau\'s gallery in 1957. So, presumably, this was his second show. In 1956 he attracted national attention when Life magazine published three of his paintings featuring football players in motion (one of them is shown in this flyer).
William Theophilus (Theo) Brown and Richard Diebenkorn were longtime friends and both associated with the Bay Area Figurative movement.
