I am offering for sale a World War I French pocket watch. One side of the case has the legend "Revanche!" (Revenge!) on top of a raised imagedepicting a French warrior attacking. The other side has a raised image of the Gallic cock, the French coat of arms, and the year 1914. The watch is made of brass and contains a legend that it was Swiss made. The back of the case opens to reveal the movement. It is in very good condition with age appropriate wear and patina except that the stem and the tip of the hour hand are missing. It is not in working condition. It measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter not including the stem.
