The front face of the coin retains the classic French Sower design featuring a walking figure sowing seeds into the sunrise. The signature of the famous coin designer O. Roty remains visible along the bottom rim. The silver surface displays a natural, aged patina with honest circulation wear.Reverse Engraved Side
The reverse side of the coin was smoothed flat during the period and intricately hand-engraved by an artisan. The center features the official badge of the British Army Service Corps, complete with the motto Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense finely engraved around the central monogram. This Middle French phrase translates to Shamed be the person who thinks evil of it, which serves as the traditional knight motto of the British Order of the Garter, the highest order of knighthood in the United Kingdom. Encircling the starburst badge, the engraving lists major campaigns and active service dates spanning multiple conflicts: South Africa 1899, East Africa 1904, and France Belgium 1914 through 1918.Hardware and Condition
