Used Volvo 12.8 engine was in a vnl semi driving on the interstate and driver fell asleep and ran off the road into a guard rail, tore loose the front axle which broke the oil pan on the engine. The truck had 800,000 miles on it. The towing company said the computer should have shut the engine down when the oil pressure dropped to low, we don’t know and never seen the engine run.
Looks like the head may have been replaced at one time, maybe it had a inframe.
