Vitus 979 KAS Frameset - NOSA heralded piece of cycling history-- the Vitus 979. Designed with innovative Dural aluminum lightweight construction, Vitus took professional racing by storm in the 1980\'s with countless classics and Tour de France stage wins, many by the Irish cycling legend, Sean Kelly.
This specific Vitus 979 model is a new-old-stock frameset with a manufactured tag date of April 1988. Tubing displays a rich Gold and Silver colorway along with KAS racing team decals of the era. Frame has never before been built up, but does display some light shelfwear from years of storage, though does come with original tags! A great chance to own a legendary race frame in rare NOS condition!
Also, please note, Vitus frames do have a history of the original epoxy unbonding at the lugs over time. The Vitus frames we have are New Old Stock, never before built up or ridden, but it is the buyer\'s responsibility to monitor the frame\'s overall condition over the duration of ownership and intended frame use or application.Specifications
