Up for grabs is a beautiful vintage Wagner Ware Sidney -O- No. 10 cast iron skillet, catalog number 1060A. Featuring the classic stylized Wagner Ware logo on the bottom and the prominent size \"10\" on the handle, this piece offers the incredibly smooth interior cooking surface that vintage Wagner foundry pieces are famous for.
This pan has been restored from the ground up. It was fully stripped to bare iron using a lye bath and a washing soda electrolysis tank to safely remove all decades-old carbon buildup and rust without harming the vintage iron.
After being completely cleaned and neutralized, it was heat-seasoned at 425°F using our custom-blended cast iron balm—a careful ratio of grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and beeswax. This baking cycle polymerized the oils into a beautiful, durable base layer that protects the iron and provides an excellent foundation for your non-stick cooking surface. It is clean, seasoned, and ready to cook with right out of the box.
While the interior surface is beautifully preserved, this skillet does spin and wobble. The bottom is not perfectly flat. Because of this movement, it is NOT recommended for flat glass-top or induction stoves.
However, this makes it a phenomenal \"user\" pan for a gas range, an electric coil stove, the BBQ grill, over a campfire, or out on the smoker where a perfectly flat base isn\'t required!
