Vintage Vulcain automatic dress watch with a clean silver sunburst dial, applied gold-tone hour markers, date window at 3 o’clock and a classic mid-century profile.
The case measures34mm across, excluding the crown. The dial is signed Vulcain / Automatic / 17 Jewels and presents very nicely, with applied baton markers and matching gold-tone hands. The watch retains its signed Vulcain crown.
The case is gold-tone with a stainless-steel back. The caseback is marked R361D and signed Vulcain, along with Automatic, Swiss Made, Waterprotected, Incabloc and “Sold the World Over Since 1858.”
The watch is running. A recent timegrapher reading showed approximately -2 seconds/day with 242° amplitude. This is simply a snapshot of performance and not a guarantee of future accuracy. Service history is unknown.
Condition is good for its age, with normal vintage wear to the case and crystal. The silver dial remains particularly attractive. It is fitted to a worn green suede/leather strap.
