Vintage condition with substantial age-related wear. The dial shows patina, discoloration and spotting. Case shows scratches, finish wear and discoloration consistent with age and use. Crystal has scratches/wear. Expansion bracelet shows wear and may not be original to the watch.
Watch is currently NOT RUNNING and is being sold AS-IS for repair, restoration, parts or collection. Service history is unknown.
Description
Authentic vintage Universal Genève Swiss wristwatch believed to date to approximately the 1940s - 1950s.
Classic period design featuring a cream/champagne-colored dial, applied Arabic numerals, gold-tone hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position.
Caseback is stamped with numbers that appear to read:

1127755
The watch has a vintage gold-tone expansion bracelet. The bracelet appears to be a later/replacement bracelet, and I cannot confirm that it is original to the watch.
The case appears to have a gold-tone plated/filled finish with a silver-colored caseback. I have not tested the case for gold content and am making no representation that any portion of the watch is solid gold.
The case has not been opened, so the movement caliber, movement serial number and internal case markings have not been verified.
This is an attractive survivor from the early Universal Genève era and could be a worthwhile restoration project or addition to a vintage Swiss watch collection.
