The Texan 6x Gloss Rifle Scope with Fine Crosshair Reticle.
This got passed down to me, but I do not own a rifle. I did some research on its history: this is a vintage 1-inch aluminum tube scope made between 1958 and 1964 by the Sovereign Instrument Company of Dallas, Texas, shortly after they acquired the famous Norman-Ford "Texan" brand line. Because it was made during this specific transition era, it features the clean, minimalist gold Texas outline logo with "6X" inside, rather than the older Tyler, Texas stamps.
It is a complete assembly and includes the attached dual mounting rings with thumb screws.
Condition:
The scope is in good vintage cosmetic shape. It seems to be in working condition—the glass is intact, and I can see clearly through the scope to the crosshairs. I am not a gun expert or optics specialist, so it is being sold as-is based on what you see in the photos.
