Up for sale is an incredibly rare, grail-status piece of sports history: a Genuine Vintage Stall & Dean "Puckmaster" Brooklyn Americans Heavy Knit Wool Hockey Jersey Sweater in a Men's Size L (Large).
Before thin mesh jerseys existed, hockey legends wore heavy, thick knit wool sweaters on the ice. Stall & Dean (established in 1898) is world-renowned for crafting ultra-premium, historical museum-quality reproductions celebrating defunct iconic franchises. The Brooklyn Americans famously only existed in the NHL from 1941 to 1942, making their gear highly sought after by serious hockey historians, memorabilia collectors, and vintage streetwear style enthusiasts alike.
This is a beautifully constructed, incredibly substantial garment built like a tank. It features premium stitched felt "BROOKLYN" lettering diagonally across the chest, a massive stitched felt #2 on the back, and historical crossed US and Union Jack flags patches on the sleeves.
**Condition Details:**
* **Overall Condition:** Excellent pre-owned vintage condition.
* **Flaws:** Has a faint smudge/dark shadow on the center white fabric panel on the back (please see high-resolution photos for exact details). Please note that the spots I noticed are on the back of the collar area (faint), left upper chest area( faint), and a mark on the Rt elbow area. Please see pictures for details. These marks could come out when washed, but I have not tried.
* **Storage Note:** This heavy wool sweater has been stored completely flat to keep the shoulders and neck structured, preserving its original shape perfectly.
