Excellent opportunity to acquire an unusually complete vintage Sankyo Micro-Mini recording and transcription system, made in Japan and dating to approximately the mid-1970s.
This fascinating system combines the compact Sankyo MTC-10 Micro-Mini portable recorder with its matching Sankyo MTR-10E transcription equipment, original transcription foot control, headset, instruction manual, wrist strap, cords and original Sankyo Transcriber box.
Unlike conventional compact cassette and later microcassette equipment, the MTC-10 utilizes Sankyo\'s unusual proprietary Micro-Mini cassette format, making this an especially interesting example of early portable recording technology.
✓ Testing & Operation
MTR-10E Transcriber:
The transcriber was connected to AC power and tested. Available functions operated as intended, including operation with the transcription foot control.
MTC-10 Portable Recorder:
The MTC-10 was separately tested using AA batteries. Available controls/mechanical functions operated as intended.
IMPORTANT TESTING DISCLOSURE:
No proprietary Sankyo Micro-Mini cassette/tape is included. Because compatible recording media was unavailable, actual recording onto tape and audio playback from tape could not be tested or verified.
The equipment operated as described during testing; however, recording/playback performance with compatible Micro-Mini media is not guaranteed.

Condition
Very nice vintage pre-owned condition overall. The equipment presents exceptionally well for its age with normal signs of vintage use and storage. Original accessories, instruction manual and packaging have appropriate age/storage wear. Vintage foam headset earpieces show age/deterioration and should be handled carefully.
