Vintage SACA Castelli Italy Hand-Painted Ceramic Wall Plaque – Numbered with Certificate
Beautiful vintage SACA ceramic wall plaque from Castelli, Italy, from the limited Collezione Cinquecentesca collection. This substantial hand-painted piece features a Renaissance-inspired heraldic design with a rabbit/hare surrounded by elaborate scrollwork and geometric decoration in traditional blue, ochre, green and cream tones.
The original Certificate of Authenticity remains attached to the reverse and explains that the collection was inspired by the art of the famous 16th-century Orsini-Colonna families of Rome. The certificate states that the pieces were interpreted by SACA artisans and that the collection was limited and numbered.
Marked 2001/A31 on both the plaque and certificate.
Measures approximately 11” wide × 5” high × 1¼” deep. Original metal hanging hardware is present on the back.
Wonderful statement piece for an Italian, Tuscan, Renaissance, European, French Country or Old World-inspired interior.
