The box is marked No. 1953 and identifies the Pflueger Skilkast as a Level Wind, Micro Adjustable Mechanical Thumber fishing reel with a polished Diamolite finish.
The original instruction booklet is titled “Facts You’ll Want to Know about the Pflueger Skilkast No. 1953 — For Fresh Water Fishing” and includes an illustration of the reel, operating information and a line-capacity chart.
The original hang tag identifies the reel as a Pflueger Skilkast Casting Reel and mentions the level wind, micro-adjustable mechanical thumbers and recommended Spede Reel Oil and Runfree Gear Grease.
