Description: N4024 Noritake Nippon Morimura Bros. Covered Vegetable Dish. Very old unnamed pattern. Features gold trim, top handle on lid and 2 side handles on bowl. Gold trim. Light green laurel leaf border. Pink and blue flowers (pansies or roses) along a rambling light green vine with wispy leaves. Bottom is stamped M encircled by a Laurel Leaf with Noritake on top and Nippon below - all in green. This mark is thought to date pieces between 1914-1921. The stamp of “Nippon” was replaced after 1921 by “Japan” or “Made in Japan” (per requirements of the McKinley Tariff Act). Size: Approx 10” diameter (including handles).
Condition: Very good for its age. No chips or cracks. Light wear to gold trim. See photos.
