Vintage Nicolas Markovitch Lithograph - Bell tower at Bruges For Sale

“Bell Tower at Bruges” is a striking 1930 lithograph by Serbian-born watercolorist and architect Nicolas Markovitch (1894–1964). The work depicts the famous Belfry of Bruges in Belgium, rising above the picturesque old buildings and waterways of the historic city.

The lithograph is signed “Marc,” a signature associated with Markovitch’s work. His architectural background is particularly evident here in the wonderful rendering of the buildings and the soaring medieval bell tower, while the reflections and softer colors of the water give the scene the character of a watercolor.

The piece was professionally reframed in the 1990s in a handsome wood frame with a neutral mat that complements the artwork beautifully without competing with it.

Framed, the piece measures approximately 22\" x 16 1/2\".

A beautiful European architectural scene and a particularly appealing example of Markovitch\'s work, ready to hang and enjoy.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The lithograph is protected under glass, which is fully intact. I don\'t see any tears, stains or significant discoloration to the artwork. The frame and mat are also in very nice condition.
