This is a very rare repair shop kit made for the Mitchell 306. The box is in good condition for its age. Back in the day, if your reel broke or needed service you would have taken it to a sporting goods store that had a repair service. This would have been the kit that they would have had on hand for fixing the reel. Mitchell made these kits for several reels including the 300, 302, 304, 306, and the 308.
This kit has almost the complete assortment of parts. It appears that the reel handle, drive spindle, bail spring, and spool knob are missing.
However, there is a rare 306 PUM (manual line uptake line roller) included. There are soft foam rubber plugs set in the compartments to keep the parts in place during shipping.
