Hello and welcome to this vintage Marklin Locomotive Engine in HO Scale. This was my first modlel railroad and my favorite engine so it was well used. It\'s been at least 5 years since I have played with this train so I am not sure of its working condition. It is a Model 3000 steam locomotive modeled after the German DB Class 89 (BR 89 005) tank engine. The number on the engines side panel indicates it is 89028 so was introduced btw 1958 and 1959 which fits as that is a likely year for my dad to have bought this at FAO Schwarz in NYC. The engine is 4 1/2 inches long and 2 inches tall and weighs 7 ounces before postal processing.
