Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Linton Elkhart woodwind oboe, well-preserved in its original plush-lined hard case with the iconic golden Linton interior emblem. Made during the golden era of American instrument manufacturing in Elkhart, Indiana, this vintage gem features a rich, dark natural wood grain body (premium Grenadilla wood) rather than modern molded plastic.
CONDITION PROFILE:
* NO WOOD CRACKS: Thoroughly inspected. There are ZERO vertical splits, hairline fractures, or structural cracks anywhere on the upper joint, lower joint, or bell flare. Wood is completely solid.
* MATCHING SERIALS: Serial number VS7498 is matching and stamped on both the upper and lower joints, proving it is a factory-paired set.
* SYSTEM: Modified Conservatory Layout.
