Vintage Lawton Doll Henriette Hilda Porcelain Lot Of 2 Classic Playthings 1996
Vintage Lawton Doll Company limited edition Henriette and her Hilda porcelain doll set from the Classic Playthings II series, part of the 1996 Lawton Doll Company collection.
Henriette is a standing girl doll with a porcelain head and lower limbs on a cloth body, styled with long auburn braids, soft curls, and painted freckles, and dressed in a green floral print dress with pintuck bodice, white long-sleeve blouse, lace-edged cuffs, white stockings, and black strap shoes.
Her outfit is finished with a large matching green floral hair bow tied over her braids, coordinating underskirt and petticoat, and she is displayed on a round doll stand sized to support her for shelf or cabinet display.
Hilda is a smaller baby doll with a porcelain head and hands and a cloth body, featuring blue painted eyes and blonde curls and wearing a long white gown with lace trim, floral embroidered jacket, and matching bonnet with ribbon ties.
The attached Lawton hang tag and matching certificate of authenticity identify the set as Henriette and her Hilda from the Classic Playthings II series, copyright 1996, limited edition number 255 of 350, designed by Wendy Lawton.
An original 1996 Lawton Doll Company collection booklet with color photographs of other dolls from the line is included along with the fitted box and foam inserts that cradle the dolls for storage.
