Pair of Vintage Japanese Miniature Wooden Geta Sandals. A classic mid-century souvenir from the historic Asakusa district in Tokyo.
Measuring 3.5 inches long, this set is in excellent display condition with thick, intact golden braided ropes tied with a distinct pink accent knot. The left sandal features a detailed graphic of the vibrant Senso-ji Temple and its iconic Five-Story Pagoda alongside a white dove, a traditional symbol of peace often seen around the temple grounds.
The right sandal proudly depicts the massive red paper lantern of the famous Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate). Boldly printed on the wood are the kanji characters for Asakusa (浅草) and Thunder Gate (雷門), accompanied by traditional blessings for "Good Fortune, Protection Against Bad Luck," and "Travel Safety."
