Genuine Hermès, Paris leather rocker desk blotter, design attributed to Paul Dupré-Lafon (1900–1971). Hermès became the exclusive maker of Dupré-Lafon\'s desk designs starting in 1929, a partnership that ran through the end of the 1950s and produced inkwells, lamps, and blotters like this one.Authentication: Three marks confirm Hermès manufacture: \"HERMÈS. PARIS / DÉPOSÉ\" gold-stamped on the leather underside, \"HERMÈS·PARIS\" embossed on the gilt spine of the blotter block, and model reference 0.123 stamped in gold at the base corner.Materials: Cognac calfskin, hand saddle-stitched in natural linen thread, wood rocker base, detachable semicircular handle on a brass threaded bolt and receiver, original gilt-edged blotting block intact.Date: Circa 1940s–1950s, France.Dimensions: 7.25\" x 4\" x 4\"Condition: Honest age and use.
