Striking vintage handcrafted leather horseshoe wall clock featuring dimensional hand-formed leaves, acorns and winding vines.
The entire piece has wonderful sculptural detail, with individually shaped and hand-colored leather elements in warm golden ochre, rust and brown tones against a black horseshoe. Metal rivet accents and a leather hanging loop add to its rustic, old-world character.
The clock features a Roman numeral dial with hour, minute and second hands and a battery-operated Young Town 12888 quartz movement.
An original vintage paper label remains on the back reading "Feniks" beneath a distinctive red winged-horse/Pegasus-style logo, along with the number 59091 and additional price/inventory markings. Extensive research has not yet established whether Feniks was the retailer, distributor or maker, so no specific manufacturer or country of origin is being attributed.
A particularly unusual piece of vintage leathercraft that works beautifully with equestrian, English country, European rustic, lodge, Western, farmhouse, folk-art or collected eclectic décor.
