A wonderful realist wildlife and railroad art piece under glass by self-taught artist Greg Garrett (Alliance, Nebraska) titled “Deja Vu.” Beautifully matted and custom framed (with a bottom professionally cut title window in matting with title/artist’s name) this piece features a detailed, realistic up-close image of a Southwestern coyote standing in an arid desert landscape. A Saguero cactus stands in the mid-ground. A modern BNSF freight locomotive pulling a line of white shipping container cars travel along a desert track beneath a pastel evening sky and distant mountains. One shipping container has the “Roadrunner Transportation Inc.” signage w/image logo of the desert bird. Déjà vu indeed (a coincidental irony?) Of course, it also relates to the literal repetition of the railroad worker’s (and railfans) job. Daily, clockwork occurrence. It’s an attractive nature/railway piece for your wall. Hand signed in left lower corner by artist and Greg’s official imprinted signature block appears near bottom right hand corner. Frame is an elegant dark cherry with espresso finish (Art Frame, Naperville IL) black kraft paper backing, sturdy wire hanger and black bumper pads affixed to bottom corners. Excellent vintage condition with a flea bite (see last photo) and some minor scratches on frame. Ready to hang and smile! (Enjoy!) Will ship carefully packaged.
